Hourglass, an Overall Review!

I don't believe the Hourglass brand gets the credit it deserves, aka why I'm dedicating a blog post to talk all about the brand! My first Hourglass purchase was the Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light, which was what started my domino effect of purchases for this brand. I went in to get my makeup done years ago and a Sephora artist talked me into the powder. First I was hesitant because I hadn't heard of the brand but that shouldn't stop you from a purchase whatsoever. After that, I was buying Hourglass products like it was nobody's business!

The following are my favorites and have become everyday essentials that I reach for quite often:

Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light: After I apply my liquid foundation choice of the day, concealer, and liquid contour, I like to set it with this before applying a highlighter and 98% of the time, Benefit's Hoola. I find that the powder gives a nice and healthy glow and it's meant to help you recreate the most flattering light for your skin. I took this line from the website as it does a good job at explaining the science behind the powder - "The micron-size, color-correcting particles refract light and create transparent coverage, filtering out harsh light and refining the appearance of the skin." I enjoy carrying this lil guy with me everywhere because it doubles as my midday touch-up and my go-to mirror.

Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation: I have a blog post dedicated to this product, which you can read more about here so I'll save you the ramble. It's one of my absolute faves and I always have a back up on deck in case I run out.

Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta: This blush is the perfect shade of pink that is subtle enough for me to like because I'm not too big on pinks. I've also talked a ton of people into buying this color. I've tried a lot of blushes in my lifetime and the Hourglass one is one of the most blendable and buttery smooth formula I've used thus far.

The next Hourglass product on my wish list is the Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush because it's a blush with a built in strobing highlighter. If you guys have other Hourglass items you love, comment below and I'll check them out!
