Holy Grail Alert: Cleaning w/ Cinima Secrets!

I don't know what the hell is in Cinema Secret's Makeup Brush Cleaning Formula because it is a magical brush cleaning potion. Cinema Secret's Makeup Brush Cleaner is hands down the greatest brush cleaner I've ever used so I 110% understand why so many beauty gurus are raving about this. In the beginning, I was skeptical about this cleaner because there were reviewers that claimed it turned their brushes blue and whatnot but that'll only happen if you used way to much cleaner on your brush.

The magical cleaning potion is very thin liquid and blue, similar to the beautiful oceans in Hawaii I grew up in lol. It has a strong vanilla scent, which I've read does bother some people but to be honest, given how great this cleaner works, I don't mind the scent at all because let's be real- there's nothing more boring and time consuming than washing your makeup brushes. Before my introduction to this cleaner, I would use baby shampoo to clean but brushes and that was real time consuming because you'd have to scrub and rinse like there's no tomorrow and then wait overnight for the brushes to actually dry. This process used to take me a good 1-2 hours but now, my process has been cut down to 15 minutes tops (no joke). In just two simple steps, it cleans, conditions, and sanitizes your brushes.
I bought the value set that came with the cleansing tin but to be honest, you don't really need it since any small bowl will suffice for your cleaning process. You pour the product in the tin/bowl and dip the tip of your brush head into the cleaner. Then you immediately swirl the brush onto a paper towel set on a flat surface and voila! Your makeup brush is immediately completely cleaned and dry. YES, DRY TOO. Like I said I have no idea what's in this magical potion except what it says on the bottle (Isoparaffin Hydrocarbon, Hydrotreated Heavy Naptha, Isopropylparaben, Isobutylparaben, N-Butylparaben, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla Bean) Fruit Extract and D&C Green #6) but I'm telling you, you will never go back to other cleaners ever again.

The cleaner works effortlessly to clean eyeshadows but for makeup that has a cream consistency such as liquid foundations/concealers/etc, it will take a couple of dips + swirls for it to completely clean but still, waaay less time that the traditional scrub and rinse. I am dead serious when I say it you haven't picked up Cinema Secret's Makeup Brush Cleaner yet, you need to hurry to your nearest Sephora because this cleaner is life changing.

  1. Wow! Sounds like a true lifesaver. All that time you save is well worth it. :]

  2. I've heard good things about that brush cleaner. Currently I'm using CeraVe face wash that was just too harsh for my face. Sally Beauty makes a brush cleaner I may try out, maybe a dupe of CS...?

Also those SK brushes look so cool. Can you do a makeup up brush post? I feel like quality of the SK brushes based on reviews are so inconsistent.

  3. Ahh I definitely need to give this a try! Thanks for sharing!
