My Recent Ulta Haul!

I recently got a 20% off your entire purchase at Ulta and of course that wasn't going to go to waste even though I cut myself off from buying beauty products since my Sephora VIB Rouge haul, which you can read more about here. I decided to be practical during this purchase so I re-upped on a lot of drug store items I needed more of. Ulta has a greater selection of men's items as well so my boyfriend participated in this purchase as well but his items aren't pictured. He mainly picked up a few Anthony products he's had his eye on.

So let's start with skincare. I bought Murad's Acne Clarifying Cleanser during Sephora's VIB sale after getting a deluxe sample of it and I swear, this is my number one facial cleanser ever. My skin has never behaved so well since starting this cleanser. I was about halfway through the bottle I bought at Sephora so I knew I needed a backup right away. My face has been clearing up like no other *knocks on wood* and I am so excited to see what more of this cleanser can do for me. Next, Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner- this is my third bottle of this goodness that I also swear by. Great for those of you who have acne-prone, oily skin as I do.

Lashes? You already know I'm obsessed so I picked up two additional pairs from Ardell. In addition, I was running low on eyelash glue so I re-upped on those - a white and black one from Ardell's Duo Lash Adhesive. Surprisingly, it's actually my first time purchasing black eyelash glue and I just want to say boy was I missing out! I may never repurchase a white eyelash glue ever again...

Onto hair and makeup. My hair was in dying need of some TLC so I picked up a bottle of It's A 10 Silk Express Miracle Silk Leave-In, which is my first time trying it out. I'll most likely have a blog post about this product for you in a few weeks once I ge a thorough experience of using the product. Next, I fell so in love with the quality of L'Oréal's Infallible Pro-Matte 24 HR Foundation, that decided to buy not one, but two backups in the color 105. You can read more about my love for this foundation here in a previous post. Most drug store matte foundations I've used applies dewy (which I hate since I have oily skin) so I love how this one truly applies matte. And last, my two Maybelline products. I'm obsessed with their Age Rewind Concealer, which you can read more about here. Last, I've been using their Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in the shade 355 as my everyday contour for a few years now and I'm close to running out.

As you can see, I didn't splurge as hard as I did during Sephora's VIB Rouge Haul, which you can read more about here but granted, I shouldn't have bought anything in the first place since I cut myself off from beauty items. Happy shopping you guys!

  2. Haha, I hate when you cut yourself off but something comes up, like a good deal or a need for the basics and essentials (or worse, a combination of the two!). I've heard so many good things about those L'Oreal and Maybelline products! I definitely have to check them out next time I'm buying. The cleanser sounds great, as well! It's always nice to find something that works well for you :)

  3. HAHA, I like the way you think! the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte is one of the best drugstore foundations I've ever tried (thank god for the yellow tones!!!), so as a makeup addict, I totally understand the need for backups. You just never know, right!?!

Also, have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation? The tones are amaaaazing and I find it much more lightweight and keeps my skin pretty matte too.
