My First Pair(s) of Levi's!

I've talked about my hate for jeans a few times on the blog and I've finally come up with a no-brainer to fix my problem. As you guys know, I grew up in Hawaii so all I wore was shorts 365 days a year. Jeans became a necessity once I moved to San Francisco but I found them so uncomfortable because I hated how tight and confined it made me feel. My bf is obsessed with raw, selvage, and high-quality jeans so it hit me, maybe that's my problem! I needed to invest in higher quality jeans because all the ones I owned were $30 and under from places like H&M and Forever 21.

I did some research and started looking into AG and Acne jeans but ~$200 a pair was a little steep for me given I never spent more than $30 on a pair in my entire life - I do plan on investing in a pair one day in the future though but for now I'm taking baby steps. I strolled into Levi's downtown and my perception on jeans immediately changed the second I tried on the first pair. The jeans were sooooo much more comfortable and I didn't feel as confined in them - I actually felt free for once. I could move, walk, and stretch with no problem! You must be thinking what took so me so long since Levi's is HQ's in SF and we have the Levi's Stadium where the Niners play.

I bet I sound so crazy but this experience really changed my life. At $78 a pair, it wasn't too much of a price increase given how much comfortable the jeans are. I went in with the goal of getting one pair but ended up purchasing three staple colors - blue, dark blue and black. The blue and black colors are 721's (high rise skinny) and the dark blue is a 711 (mid-rise skinny). Never again will I rely on places like Forever 21 or H&M for jeans now that I know how big of a difference the quality is!

I'm glad to say I no longer dread wearing jeans as much as I used to. If you guys have any suggestions in terms of other brands or have some tips, please help your girl out!

  1. Levi's jeans are a classic. I'm not the biggest fan of jeans so I still have a ways to go. :]

  2. I don't own a Levis, I should take a look at them!
