My First Cooking Class!
This was your not-so-typical cooking class because it took place in an art gallery - neat huh? It was a very unique experience and I was able to learn so much new tips. My colleagues and I were broken up into separate groups and each group was assigned to either the starter, main dish, or dessert. The starter was seared ahi tuna (my favorite being from Hawaii) with a side of papaya salad. The main dish was green curry with fresh shrimp & scallops, a variety of veggies, and noodles. The dessert was flambéed banana with sticky rice and coconut milk. Everything was ridiculously amazing I really couldn't believe I took part in creating such amazing food.
I'm almost tempted to personally take the class again so I can get better photos since I'm so upset with myself for not thinking ahead. The cooking class was a fun experience and it was nice to get out of the office and do some bonding outside of work. Have any of you guys taken a cooking class before? This class has sparked my interest to put more effort into learning how to cook, especially since I'm not getting any younger. I really want to hear about your cooking class experiences or advice for someone starting to learn in department!
