First Impressions: Ulta Haircare Haul

So if you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I recently got my faded brown/blonde ombre refreshed into a lighter blonde/silver color at Studio 6 in Hawaii by the owner herself, Brandy. She was frickin amazing and I seriously may have found my hair stylist for life! I was really almost tempted to move home so I could have her closer to me lol. Anyways, I was always hesitant to try this color since it's no secret the color fades away in just a few weeks but I thought, why not! With that said, I took a trip to Ulta when I got back to San Francisco to refresh my hair products to help maintain my new hair color and maybe it was fate because the products my hair stylist recommended for me to use were on sale!

Matrix Total Results So Silver Shampoo: My stylist told me to make sure I picked this shampoo up to help upkeep the color, especially because I wouldn't be able to come in for a touch-up being thousands of miles away. The color of the shampoo is a deep purple, much darker than the purple shampoo I used to use, which was Lush's Daddy-O. I was told this shampoo is on the drier side so it's best to alternate it instead of using it everyday. So far, this shampoo is doing a great job keeping the unwanted yellow tones away! The smell of the shampoo smells great - I can't put my finger on an exact description but it smells like the high end shampoos in hair salons, which I love!
AG Hair Color Care Sterling Silver Toning Conditioner: I wanted a silver conditioner to help my shampoo prolong my new hair color! Matrix doesn't make a silver condition (and I don't know why) so that explains the reasoning for switching brands. This conditioner is thick, as any normal conditioner would be, and is also a deep purple. It makes my hair soft and silky, which is what I needed to ease it back to a healthy state since it was just colored. The conditioner smells like pina colada (pineapple and coconut) so I'm all about the tropical smell since it reminds me of home.
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo: This bad boy is sulfate free, 100% vegan, and hydrating... aka everything I was looking for in the shampoo to alternate with Matrix's. Toner is the product that made my hair into a silver color and shampoo filled with chemicals is what makes toner fade quicker, which is a no-no. The smell of this shampoo is herb-like, similar to what an organic grocery store would smell like similar to Down to Earth stores in Hawaii - that's the only way I can explain it lol.

Batiste Dry Shampoo: This is a forever holy grail of mine that you can read more about here in a previous post - I just needed more since I'm going attempt to no longer wash my hair on a daily basis to keep the toner lasting longer.

Do any of you guys currently use the products above or have recommendations for me!? I need all the help I can get to upkeep my new hair color!
