Your Search for the Perfect Spot Treatment is Over!

I usually test products for 3-4 weeks before writing a complete review but I felt compelled to share Kate Somerville's EradiKate Acne Treatment even though I've only used it for a week. The EradiKate Acne Treatment is a spot treatment that has been on my radar to purchase for a while now but never got around to doing so because it's been a few months since I've had an evil cystic pimple pop up. I've been told it's a powerful spot treatment so I was waiting until I actually needed the product. Enter, last week Wednesday- I woke up with a cystic pimple that was red, large, and painful. I went into panic mode and immediately rushed over to Sephora to finally buy it.
The magic behind the EradiKate Treatment is it's the highest amount of sulfur allowed in a product. The most important thing to keep in mind about this product is you cannot shake the bottle. You'll notice in the picture above, the formula is separated into two parts- the top half of the clear liquid being alcohol and the bottom pink colored half is the sulfur. If the formula is mixed together, the solution will no longer work to battle acne. As instructed on the bottle, steps include: 1. Cleaning your entire face as you'd normally do during your nightly routine 2. Dip a q-tip into the bottle and apply onto the blemish(s). 3. Leave it on all night and wash off the excess in the morning.

Don't be alarmed if minor mixing occurs when you dip the q-tip in- the formula will separate back on its own. The next morning after the first use, my horrific cystic pimple shrunk half in size, was no longer painful, and while some redness remained, it was not as severe as before. I'm not 100% in the clear yet of my cystic spot but given the short amount of time and how much it's healed, the EradiKate has officially been honored my holy grail spot treatment. It's also decently priced at $24, which is a steal if you ask me given how fast it works. A cystic pimple could take 3-4+ weeks to naturally heal on it's own but I was able to get 80% of the spot gone in a matter of a few days. Please keep in mind that it worked quickly for my one cystic spot. If you're battling a few of them, it will take longer but when it comes to this type of acne, patience is very important.

If you're someone in need of a spot treatment, I'd suggest running to Sephora asap as I did to pick up this magical potion. I'd also love to hear additional thoughts on Kate Somerville's EradiKate Acne Treatment or another spot treatment you swear by!
