March Favorites

For the month of March, I had a few items that made my favorites list. I bought more Korean beauty products while in Hawaii and I was able to test a few out this month. But before we get into that, let's start off with my only non-Korean product that made the list. John Frieda's Everlasting Blonde Color Preserving Shampoo. About two months ago, I chopped off my mermaid-length virgin black hair and went blonde. Since then, I've been testing out different shampoos to help maintain the color and I have been loving this one. The formula includes safflower oil and bergamot extract, which helps the blonde color from fading. There are different types of shampoos in John Frieda's blonde line but this catered most to my needs since I'm not a natural blonde.

Next up, we have the Face Shop's Clear Away Spot Treatment. This little gem is currently my favorite spot treatment and unfortunately, I think it can only be bought in-store so if you live by a Face Shop, run there now! The formula has tea tree oil, that is known to help clear acne. The contents of the bottle are split into two levels- powdery on the bottom and liquid on the top but do not shake and mix it! The texture isn't thick cream or sticky but rather a liquid formula that you dab with a q-tip onto your problematic spots as the last step of your nightly skincare routine. I leave it on overnight and wash the remaining in the morning. You'll notice that smaller pimples can go away overnight and some bigger ones will vanish in 2-3 days with continuous use.
Onto my current daily eye cream. Honestly, you're never too young to start using eye cream, even if you're just in your 20's. The skin around your eyes is sensitive and thin so it is prone to wrinkles quicker than other areas of your face. Nature Republic's Cooling Eye Cream from their Original Power line. I am by no means a morning person whatsoever. Even if I get a perfect eight hours of sleep, I would still much rather not get up so a eye cream that cools eyes is exactly what I need in the mornings to help wake me up. The cool feeling helps to calm my eyebags, making it appear as if I'm fully rejuvenated. I can't stress enough how important it is so start using eye creams early on.
Since I loved the cooling eye cream so much, I decided to add another product from the same Original Power line into my routine, Nature Republic's Hydro Ampoule. The formula has Hyaluronic Acid and Polinesian Marine Water, which helps extra dry skin to keep hydrated all day. After toning my skin, I pump out a barrel's worth onto my hands and pat into my face for absorption. Although I generally don't have dry skin, I like how much happy and healthy my skin feels with the serum. I love this so much I've only used it for a few weeks and I'm halfway through the bottle.

That's the round-up of my March favorites. Does anyone have a product to share that stood out in March as well? I'd love to hear about it!

  1. I will be very honest and say it, I never heard of some of these products before, apart from the John Freida ones, but you made me very curious and I'll definitely look out for them! You can read if you want my March favourites here :)

    1. Unless you live by a Nature Republic or Face Shop, it's actually pretty hard to get your hands on the products unfortunately. I'd definitely Google to see if there's one nearby to shop at because I love their stuff!

  2. Haven't heard about Nature Republic. I love to learn about new brand so thanks for sharing.

  3. No problem! I know they have locations in LA and HI but I'm not too sure of other places. Check Google to see if there are any in your area!

  4. I have that Faceshop drying cream!! I tried telling you about that one before, I actually like it. I always wanted to try the Mario B one because I hear a lot of review on it Even Mike using my drying cream too! lol
