Current Purses on Rotation

I'm am the complete opposite of my Mom and Grandma who needs to have the newest bags from their favorite high-end brands. I on the other hand, rarely purchase purses unless it seriously catches my eye. The concept of dropping thousands of dollars on bags makes no sense to me when there are more important things to pick up... such as makeup and skincare products haha. However, once in a blue moon, I'll splurge on a bag I'm in love with. For the last few months, these are the main three bags that have been on my current rotation.

I'm not sure if it's just me but it doesn't take a lot of weight for a purse to give me shoulder pain. That is why I really prefer cutches, side, and cross body bags when I go out. However, when I do need a larger size bag, I reach for my Longchamps's 'Large Le Pliage' Tote. Having a carry-all bag that is already heavy without putting anything inside is a nightmare for me. This is I love my Longchamp carry-all, which I use Monday-Friday for work. Before putting anything inside, the bag is virtually weightless. Even after I throw all my stuff in, the bag is still comfortable for me to carry on my shoulder. It's made of nylon material and comes in a variety of colors and of course I got black. In addition, it has a water-resistant lining, my favorite feature! Since it's my everyday work bag, I throw a lot of stuff in there such as my lunch, water bottle, etc. There have been a few occasions where sauce/water spilled in the interior but all it took was some cleansing wipes to make it good as new!

Next off, my medium size bag, Michael Kors Selma Medium Satchel. This black and white edition was gifted to me maybe a year ago so I believe it's no longer for sale. However, the same style is available in a variety of single colors. I love how the purse can be converted to be held in a variety of ways. It still has the cross body feature that is removable, which I prefer and can be carried with it's top handles. The color block of the black and white is so beautiful, which is what first caught my eye about the bag! The only unfortunate thing about the purse is since a majority of it is white, it's so much harder to keep clean. After a few usages, I use Michael Kors leather cleaning to give the bag a refreshment to remove any dirt/stains before they become permanent. I reach for this bag on fancier occasions.

Last, my current cross body bag that is from Forever 21. Cross body bags are really what I prefer the most because it keeps my hands free. I don't mind using a non-named brand bag because it is a lot less stressful not having to worry about keeping it intact. Most of the time, all I need is my wallet and makeup bag, which fits perfectly in small cross body bags. When I know I'll be out an entire day, I want to have the least amount of stuff and not worry about lugging a purse everywhere.

Now that I've shared my favorites, I'd love to hear about some of your favorite types bags as well!

  1. I love the Michael Kors satchel. I'm a complete hoarder when it comes to bags. At the moment I can't stop lusting over the mini bags.

  2. I confess: I'm a handbag addict. I can never have enough bags and God may know how many I bought in my entire life. I don't even know how much I have right now .. I'm totally into clutches and mini bags at the moment, I want some of those models now for the Summer :) Love! ♥
