Skincare Routine: Hawaii Edition + a Surprise

With the holidays coming up, your girl is home in Hawaii for a few days! This trip is special because it is my first one since being out of college and very unexpected - I already accepted the fact this would be my first Christmas away from family + home but plans changed. My Dad knew I was coming home because someone had to get me from the airport and help me plan the surprise but my Mom had no idea. I flew in on Christmas Day and right before taking off, I wished her a Merry Christmas and just planned to take it easy because I had work the next day.

My Dad and I headed straight home from the airport where I just knocked on the front door for her to answer. It was the sweetest thing because my Mom was staring at me in disbelief for a good minute before saying something and crying her eyes out. She said it was the greatest Christmas present she could've asked for. Throughout the day, she actually kept pinching me to make sure she wasn't still in a dream. I was also able to stay long enough to celebrate her birthday as well. My parents are my biggest supporters so I was happy so pull my surprise off successfully.

But anyways with all that said, here are the skincare products I brought with me on this trip:

1. Origin's Cheeks and Balances Face Wash
2. Ren's Hydra-Calm Day Cream
3. First Aid Beauty's Purifying Mask
4. Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Toner
5. Boscia's Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil
6. Neutrogena's Cleansing Towelettes

Hawaii is a lot more humid than San Francisco so I focused on bringing products that controled oil. My oily skin intensifies when I'm home due to the constant 90 degree weather. I only brought one of each of the most basics (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, mask, cleaning towelettes, and a cleansing oil) because I didn't want to pack too much going there.

All in all, I'm excited to be back in Hawaii Nei!
