Holy Empties pt. 1

A few months ago, I was reintroduced to this- I used this so much growing up I'm surprised it slipped off my radar. If the goal is to grow long and strong hair as the name says, this is your guy! Sunsilk's Long and Strong Shampoo is definitely a tried and true!

2. Body Shop's Tea Tree Toner
I thought this product was okay. It wasn't working magic but it also didn't suck completely. Honestly, I can't really tell what it did for my acne but at least it didn't break me out. I would've stopped using it altogether but I didn't want to waste product so I stuck with it until the end. I don't really see this as a repurchase but I did hear great things about the Body Shop's Tea Tree line so it could've just been my skin that didn't have a reaction since we're all different.

3. Body Shop's Chamomile Silky Cleansing Oil
Okay, this sucked. I stuck it through the end as much as I didn't want to. The oil was very heavy and it took a lot of product to remove all the makeup from my face. I felt the need to immediately clean my face with water because the oil was so heavy and made me feel dirtier than before I used it. Once I finished this bottle, I invested in Boscia's Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleaning Oil and there was such a big difference. Boscia's oil didn't feel heavy at all and it took a lot less product to remove the day's makeup.

4. Philosophy's Clear Days Ahead Moisturizer + Philosophy's Clear Days Ahead Acne Treatment Pads
This was my first time trying the Philosophy brand and it was great! They were both travel sized so I went through it pretty quickly using it twice a day. It kept my acne under control but for now, I will not be repurchasing because I currently have too much moisturizers and treatment pads of a variety of brands. For all you with acne prone skin, check out Philosophy's Clear Days Ahead line.

5. Lush's Mask of Magnaminty
This is forever a tried and true holy grail. I go through tubs and tubs of this because I try to stay active on using it three times a week when I'm not lazy. Lush's products are all natural so there isn't a huge chemical risk. Keep it in room temperature because when you put it on your face, it already gets cold from the peppermint ingrediant so it's very soothing. The instructions says to leave it on for 10 minutes but I prefer to keep it on for 30-40 minutes. I'll slap on a generous amount after washing my face, watch a Netflix episode, and take it off. (I use Netflix as my timer.) A lot is going on all at once, which is wonderful: the china clay reaches deep into your pores, aduki beans are exfoliating your skin, vanilla absolute calms redness (that I am a huge victim of) and honey to soothe the skin. Lush calls it the "ultimate face mask," and I'm going to have to agree.

6. Lush's Retread
This was my first time trying a hair product from Lush. My hair was in need of some life because I had lots of split ends so I picked up this deep conditioner. It made my hair really soft and it smelled great. Their website says "it gives your sad hair its shine and bounce back," so it definitely did it's job. However, given how expensive it is ($30,) there is a cheaper alternative I love just as much. Loreal's Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm can be bought at any drug store for $7-9. I felt that the same results were delivered and Loreal also claims one use will repair one year's worth of damage. At 1/3 of the price, you get great results so I've been using this for now instead of repurchasing.

7. Lush's Fresh Face Mask in Catastrophe Cosmetic, Brazened Honey, Oakfix, and the Sacred Truth
All of Lush's Fresh Face Masks have a different purpose but Brazened Honey is my all time favorite because it smells and feels the best. Fresh face masks can only be bought in-store and cannot be kept out of the fridge for longer than 24 hours. They run for $7 and you can get 4-5 uses out of it. The cool thing about these and about Lush products in general is that if you bring back 5 empty pots, which is made of 100% recycled plastic, you'll receive a free fresh face mask.
